1. Nature of the Tool
Docketloom is an on-device case management application designed to help attorneys and legal professionals organize and track case information. The app provides tools for recording case details, dates, courts, and notes. It does not provide legal analysis, strategy, recommendations, or automated decision-making regarding your cases.
- No legal advice: Docketloom does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal services of any kind.
- No practice substitution: The app is a tool to assist attorneys in their practice, not a substitute for professional legal judgment.
- No automated decisions: Docketloom does not make or suggest legal strategies, filing decisions, or case outcomes.
2. Attorney Responsibility
You remain solely responsible for your legal practice, including all case management decisions, deadlines, filings, and professional obligations. Docketloom is a record-keeping aid. It does not:
- Calculate or notify you of filing deadlines (you must independently track all deadlines).
- Verify the accuracy of case information you enter.
- Ensure compliance with court rules, local rules, or procedural requirements.
- Substitute for docketing or calendar systems operated by you or your firm.
You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of your case data. On-device storage means data loss can occur if your device is lost, damaged, or reset without a backup.
3. No Attorney–Client Relationship
The use of Docketloom — including entering case information, using the app, or contacting Foculoom support — does not create an attorney–client relationship, a lawyer–client relationship, or any other professional relationship. Foculoom LLC is not a law firm and does not employ attorneys acting in a professional legal capacity toward users of this product.
4. Data Responsibility
Docketloom stores all case data on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Because no cloud sync or server-side storage is provided:
- You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your case data.
- Data loss from device failure, loss, theft, or reset is your responsibility.
- Foculoom cannot recover case data stored on a device we do not control.
- We recommend using iOS device backups (iCloud or local encrypted backups) to protect your case data.
5. No Endorsement
The inclusion of case management features, categories, or fields in Docketloom does not constitute an endorsement by Foculoom of any particular legal practice, case strategy, or organizational methodology.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Foculoom LLC disclaims all liability for damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, Docketloom, including but not limited to damages arising from lost case data, missed deadlines, or reliance on the tool for legal practice management. See the full Terms of Use for the complete limitation of liability.
